White Ceramic & Faux Bamboo Table Lamps in Chinese Chippendale Style, 1970s, Set of 2

We offer for sale a stunning pair of vintage table lamps almost certainly Italian in origin but made in the iconic and sophisticated Chinese Chippendale style. Characterized by clean lines, geometric shapes and decorations inspired by oriental culture, the Chinese Chippendale style was back in vogue in Italy between the 60s and 70s thanks to the historic luxury furniture company "Vivai Del Sud" which produced many items such as furniture and furnishing accessories such as lamps and other objects in this style. These mid-20th century table lamps for style and materials used remind us of the splendid pieces produced by "vivai del sud" in that period: glazed ceramic total white, references to the oriental style with faux bamboo and the pagoda shape. The bold yellow ochre lampshades provide a striking contrast to the white glaze, they were made recently by our right hand man specifically for these table lamps, and measure: Height 35cm Diameter 39cm while the bases measure: Height 40cm diameter 21cm.
