Vintage Design

Eckart Muthesius designed these highly decorative wall lights 1930 for the new construction of the palace for the Maharaja of Indore in India. The young architect found a friend and patron in the Maharajah of Indore. At that time, the lights were only built for the palace in small production in Berlin. In the publication by Reto Niggl "Eckart Muthesius 1930. The Palace of the Maharajas in Indore", the lights are shown with a construction drawing. Clear in the formal design, highly convincing in the solid design, the lights only shine upwards and emit a soft, indirect light. Our copies come from the long corridor of a Berlin law firm and are rewired. Equipped with LED lamps, they also meet today's energy consumption requirements.
