Vintage Design

traditional Turkish rug circa 1940's 175x132cm This is a Turkish Kula carpet, painstakingly hand knotted on wool foundations with 100% pure vegetable dyed wool. These are made in south western Turkey on the mountains near Mugla. It is a rare boutique rug that's made as a double sided rug, reverse is almost felted, presumably made to add warmth to the rug whilst on the floor. ] Cleaned and ready to go. Excellent condition with minimal wear for its age.
