Vintage Design

A Vintage Italian La Palma Dune coffee table designed by Enzo Berti in 1996 and made of powder coated steel and glass.
Originally designed for the Asian market the table was designed by Berti to enable the fine dune sand to be combed to echo a Zen garden. There were however problems with distribution and so it is believed that no more than 1000 tables in this configuration were made and shipped before production ceased a few years later.
Although the table never really fulfilled its main purpose and potential it still remains a very useable and entertaining centrepiece for a social area. The glass can be lifted off and the interior can be decorated with objects like flowers, shells, photos or other memorabilia.
