Ceramic bird Nylund Röstrand Sweden Vintage 1950 mdc
Large, beautiful fish-eating bird designed by Gunnar Nylund, the famous Swedish designer, for Rörstrand in a Brutalist style.

This is one of the first works of Gunnar Nylund's early career at Lidköbing/Rorstrand (he worked for Rorstrand from 1931-55). He produced animal figures in bright colors during this period.

Signed: 'R' (Rorstrand) old monogram and GN.
In perfect condition.
Marked underneath.
