Low Japanese chest with drawer from the Meiji Period

Dimensions: height 14 cm, width 43 cm, depth 28 cm.

This traditional chest of drawers, crafted from paulownia wood, has developed a warm patina over the years.

Thanks to its low height, this practical storage piece is also perfect as a unique display for plants, ceramics, or other decorative items. An authentic tansu that brings a serene accent to any stylish interior.

Ko-dansu were traditionally used to store personal items or clothing and were often placed on the floor or elevated platforms.
