Vintage Design

Very pretty little oil, cider or other jar, small format (1-2 liters) old 19th century stoneware made in French artisan Puisaye, semi-glazed/enameled. Bellied body, large short neck framed by 2 rounded handles, all 3 glazed in a dark khaki shade, thick glaze. Top of the raw jar, light gray/terracotta stoneware, manufacturing defect in this place strapping mark with varnishing, rest of the body enameled in shades of red, rust, light khaki, beige, gray. We notice that it was probably varnished/enameled upside down, the enamel forming drops on the top of the handles and the neck. Approximately 25cm total height, max diameter 16-17cm. Very good general condition, some relatively discreet defects and wear over time. 2kg approximately.
