The figure of a fish, made in a style characteristic of the Polish glassworks, popular in the times of the Polish People's Republic. The beautiful colors of the figure deserve attention.

The fish is made of colorless glass in which yellow and red colored mosaics are embedded. The smooth, yellow body of the fish is decorated with beautiful red bulging eyes. The figure is set on a transparent stand in the form of fins.

Today, glass fish are a symbol of the People's Republic of Poland. They decorated the interiors of many Polish houses, arranged on televisions and in showcases, forgotten in recent years, slowly returning to favors to decorate modern interiors. They constituted a huge interior design trend, based not on works of high art but on artistic craftsmanship. However, it should not be forgotten that they were made in the manner of glassworks in the Millefiori technique, consisting in decorating the mass of glass, creating a melange of colors on a transparent structure. Fish, popular in the times of the Polish People's Republic, were produced, among others. in the Krosno steelworks, after hours works of art in the form of glass fish and bookmarks, made by employees, quickly became a symbol of those years.
