A pair of Scandinavian bookcases from the 1950s/60s, perfect for anyone looking to beautifully showcase their book collection or decorative items. These pieces are crafted from rosewood, known for its rich, deep tones and striking grain patterns. The minimalist design and geometric lines are consistently maintained throughout, even in the smallest details, without sacrificing the high quality characteristic of Scandinavian craftsmanship from that era. This is most evident in the veneered solid wood drawer fronts, precisely joined together, and the hand-carved handles. The extensive use of solid wood in these bookcases is rarely seen today, ensuring they will last for many years to come.
The shelves, both in the upper section and in the cabinets below, are adjustable, allowing you to reposition or remove them to accommodate larger items. Additionally, the bookcases can be placed side by side to create a larger unit, or arranged separately, offering flexibility to suit different rooms while maintaining a cohesive style throughout your home.
Despite the passage of time, these bookcases remain in excellent original vintage condition. Unfortunately, the exact origin or designer of the pieces is unknown. The wood has been treated with professional compounds, and the drawers are clean and function smoothly. There is slight discoloration on one side, though this does not detract from the overall aesthetics.
