About This Piece

Vintage Design

This armchair or desk chair was designed by Ejnar Larsen and Aksel Bender Madsen in 1955 and made by Willy Beck circa 1955-1960. The cane has been replaced and the chair is now good for another 60 years of use. Unless you are buying for a museum, you are better off with new cane as it becomes brittle after 50 years. Finding a good weaver to replace the cane if not easy.
