Vintage Design

Magnificent and elegant 19th Century Louis XV style hall lantern. Striking French design from the 1870s. Original gilt bronze doré shell-crested frame with five original yellow colored hand-blown glass panels. Originally for candles, this hall lantern has been wired for electricity around the 1920s. Rewired with five original sockets for E-14 light bulbs. This wonderful 19th Century Louis XV style hall lantern is in good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. We will ship this lovely piece in a custom made wooden crate for safe transport when purchased by overseas buyers! Our gallery is a family-owned and managed company which has been dedicated to dealing in 20th Century Decorative Arts since it's foundation in the late 1920s.
