About This Piece

“Blue Dryad” (120 X 100cm) and like the mythical forest dwellers themselves, this “Dryad” is marvellously at home among the boughs and blooms. Held here mid-flight, the summer-visiting martin is a scintillating blade-like shape against the soft backlit camellia flowers. Cool and bright but with touches of rich brick red, this is a sensual and deeply impressionistic piece, large and generous.
