Vintage Design

A tall, Gustavian mirror decorated with a hand-painted classicist mask on the glass pane. It comes from around 1790.

Wooden, profiled frame, decorated on the inside with a carved, gilded ornament (kimation). The upper part of the mirror is decorated with a hand-painted representation of a classicist mask in a laurel wreath. A mirror topped with a cornice with a geometric ornament.

The style of the mirror is determined by both the classic, architectural form topped with a cornice, and the ornamentation, the motifs of which are derived from ancient art (kimation, mask)
