very rare richard ginori laveno relief glazed ceramic tureen designed in the 1960s by antonia campi, archived and catalogued on the lombardy cultural heritage site.
Enamelled soup tureen entirely in dark green with high external band decorated in relief, rectangular handles and circular lid with flower-shaped top handle.
Historical-critical information: The soup tureen (container n. inv. 2250, lid n. 2251) is part of a table service that is similar to the service called "Margherita" (1965) for the morphological typology and the small relief decorations placed on a high horizontal band or on the brim of the plates. It is the first example of design of table services by Antonia Campi: it is a less known and less 'subversive' production than the "Articoli Fantasia" or the sanitary ware, but still interesting. The first services, Margherita (1965), Paiolo (1967), Giano (1968), designed by Campi for Richard Ginori, are examples of great professional 'correctness' and intelligent reinterpretation of traditional forms.
