Early 19th Century Directoire Side Chair in Cherrywood and Straw

About This Piece

Vintage Design

Chair in cherrywood, Directoire period, with a seat in handmade mulching in perfect condition.
Its openwork backrest is composed of a curved top rail for optimal comfort.
It rests on four legs slightly curved towards the outside and linked together on the sides by a pair of turned bars, by a single one on the back.
On the front, it is reinforced by a wider and slightly rounded crossbar, in line with the seat.
This Chair with its low seat and relatively high back fulfills the criteria to be used as a Nursery or Fireplace Chair.
