Pair of vases barn type of the Song Dynasty (969-1127) China.

These vases in principle had a household, to keep the harvest safe from rodents and insects, but later went on to have a ceremonial use, saving them the offerings that were made to the dead to enjoy them in the afterlife. The vase is made of ceramic glazed green color, typical of the time, this type of glaze is known as celadon (Chinese: qingci literally "green porcelain"), very popular because imitated jade. The body of the vase is globular and eta decorated on top with a series of ancestors fiercely guarded the offering, bringing in the neck schematic representation of a dragon. The lid is domed and has a top decoration consisting of a bird S-shaped serving as handle. The height is 36 cm.

It has a certificate issued by Antonio Sánchez Tárraga in Antiques Appraiser. Aspejure 01199.
