Beautiful antique Caucasian Shirwan rug from the late 19th century, entirely hand-knotted in wool on a wool foundation, featuring natural and vegetable dyes. The carpet's central motif showcases stylized star-like patterns filling the field with colors of yellow, red, deep brown, blue, and green, all set against a midnight blue background. The border of the rug is adorned with a pattern of wine glasses and leaves on a white background, which encircles the entire field, characteristic of Caucasian carpets. A true masterpiece of craftsmanship and history.
