Surprising and striking French bee lamp that illustrates all the creativity and fantasy of designer Vincent Darré. Made of painted glass and lacquered metal, it is a floor or table lamp, in collaboration with Monoprix. with this brand, the designer imagined a poetic picnic, where each object comes to life. My idea was to show an absurd and surreal world and do it in a much more accessible way. Thus, he reinvents all these everyday objects and animals to make them a little more extraordinary.

The body is made of painted glass (in yellow and black) that imitates the shape of a bee's body; while metal is used for the four-legged support, the grid-like wings, and the antennae and eyes. The shape seems to float in the air, gently swaying as if alive, exuding a surreal touch.

Surreal and unconventional, it is reminiscent of the luxurious dragonfly he makes in collaboration with Ludovic Clément d'Armont. The work of Vincent Darré (Paris, 1965) is famous for its eccentricity, which the interior designer describes as halfway between Jean Cocteau and Cecil Beaton. Therefore, his designs mix baroque and surrealism, in which he inserts a certain playfulness and humor.
