Vintage Design

An important gilded chased bronze (height 0.92 m) and gilded bronze sconce cartel, with neoclassical decoration of laurel leaves, scraps of drapery, adorned with a Greek urn flanked by four pine cones and presenting in the lower part a cross-shaped base finished with a woman's mascaron. Enamelled dial in perfect condition. Movement revised in working order at the end of the 17th century. Signed Gilles Martinot Paris (1656-1726) member of a famous family of royal watchmakers.
