A fabulous example of an early turn of the century small wooden lay figure used by artists and sculptors in the pursuit of the perfect form. Made from fruit wood. C1900

The original colour to the surface has aged to give it a deep brown finish with lovely patination. He can be articulated to almost any form all set on a display stand.

Superb condition, good definition to the carved face and body, all joints are fully functional.
