Anne Sexton is an original artwork realized by the Italian artist and photographer Angelo Cricchi in 2009. Original Digital Photograph on paper. Hand-signed by the artist, dated and numbered on back. The original mark is also present on back. Edition of 5 unique specimens. The artwork is one of the photographs of the series ''Gloomy Sunday'' realized by the artist in the second half of the 2000s. The artwork represents a sensual and beautiful female figure in a car; the scene is tragit: indeed, it is the American poetess Anne Sexton (Newton, 1928 - Weston, 1974) that committed suicide after a suffered and tragic life. The shot shows us in the car, where she entered and inhaled the car's toxic gas. She left us very important collection poems; the most famous was Love Poems (1969) and became the icon of the ''Confessional Poetry''. Excellent conditions.
